Who can do
Latin?
In Year 9 you
will be given the chance to ‘taste’ Latin using electronic learning methods
("e-learning"). You do need to be fairly clever – and in particular
keen!
We use the Cambridge
Latin Course in which you will learn to
- read and understand Latin
- appreciate the writings of
Roman authors
- understand Roman civilisation
(and thus your own culture which derives from it)
- understand better how language
works and improve your knowledge of English words and spelling
